Returns + Exchanges
We will gladly accept returns + exchanges of your unwashed, unused product within 30 days of your receiving of it. Please email us firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a return. If an item is sent back and is damaged in any way, we reserve the right to not refund the return. We do not refund original or return shipping costs unless the return is a result of our error. Starting Sept. 2022, if you want to exchange a meditation cushion, we must charge a $10 fee for shipping your new chosen cushion back to you to help us cover the extra costs in shipping to you again. We are not responsible for any missing packages that are being returned. Contact us here with any questions.
MEDITATION CUSHIONS: Remove outer shell fabric. Hand-wash cold, lay flat to dry. Since we combine various fabric + fiber types together, some may shrink or stretch more than others. This is a natural occurrence with patchwork pieces made from rescued fabrics, a look that we hope you will love as much as we do. If your cushion comes in contact with a significant amount of liquid that seeps into the buckwheat, then a buckwheat hull replacement may be necessary.
EYE PILLOWS: Shell can be removed for gentle machine washing or hand-washing. Lay flat to dry.
RELIEF PILLOWS: Shell can be removed for gentle machine washing or hand-washing. Lay flat to dry. For warming relief, microwave carefully for 2-4 minutes. For cooling relief, refrigerate or freeze.
SLEEP MASKS: Wash by hand or by machine (cold water is best), lay flat to dry.

Domestic orders within the continental U.S. over $75 ship free.
Shipping fees for Domestic orders under $75 are based on carrier rates and current available options will display at checkout.
We do our best to ship out your order within 1-3 business days. In the U.S. we use USPS Ground, USPS Priority, and Fedex Ground based on best rate and timing, unless you choose a specific carrier at checkout. A tracking number is sent out when your order ships.
We are not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by circumstances outside of our control such as severe weather, natural disasters, or other courier delays.
Unfortunately we are also not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged (or stolen) in transit.
International shipping is available via multiple carriers, with rates based on weight, speed and destination. For international orders, please note: custom duties may apply – all applicable customs fees, taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. By law, we are required to state the value of your order directly on the package. It is the sole discretion of customs agents to release your package. Please understand that we can’t be held responsible for delays occurring due to shipping provider, misstatement of your shipping address, damages that occur during shipment and your destination’s customs. We do our best to ensure a safe arrival, but we cannot guarantee anything. Please be in touch if you have any concerns.
Repairing things is a big part of our vision for the future where no materials are ever wasted. We want you to use your Ethel Studio designs for as long as possible and hand them down for generations! We will happily repair your textile product for you. We offer repairs for a flat fee of $10, but it may vary depending on the size of the job. We do not cover the shipping/ return shipping of products sent in for repair. No, there are no late fees if you miss a scheduled payment.

What if I make a return on a purchase made through Installments with Shop Pay?
If your refund amount is less than the amount remaining on your Shop Pay Installments balance, then you can expect one or both of the following:
- A smaller payment balance on the final payment.
- Less future payments on the remaining loan balance.
If your refund amount is more than the amount remaining on your Shop Pay Installments balance, then you can expect to receive the difference as a refund to your original payment method within 3 to 10 business days.
If you paid for an order in monthly payments, then you won't be refunded the paid interest. Interest is the cost of borrowing, and isn't refundable.
Which payment methods are accepted if I use the option to pay Installments on Shop Pay?
The installments option on Shop Pay is available on debit and credit cards. Capital One cards aren't accepted. If you choose a monthly payment option, then you can only pay with a debit card.
